Time Management
Rather than taking a good hard look at the game in order to provide necessary balancing, redesign, and overall positive change, Anet has chosen to completely rewrite the skill description for every skill in the game and letting you choose between which format you like.
More than ever, I think where their priorities now lay is quite clear.

You are wise. Honestly people, Skill Balances are important, but other updates are needed as well. It's stupid to think A-net ignore PvP because some updates don't affect it. Is it any different to what the PvErs do when Skill balances happen?
But then again, people need to complain over something, right?

They have taken a look, it's called GW2. They will not do a major revamp for GW when it's almost obsolete.

FYI: concise skill descriptions have been in the dat for a while already. Dunno why they appeared only now, though.

he's saying;
this is ANOTHER waste of time by a-net, time they could be putting into fixing bugs (or the HB/HA meta) not posibly making more.

Oh. New update. OK.
We just got an update with some fairly substantial and non-brain-damaged PvP updates, so I wouldn't really complain about getting a "feature" update shortly after. It's likely that it was worked on by different personnel than the ones responsible for PvP updates anyway.

no, none what so ever.
personally, imo, this is when the question of "what exactly is ANet doing with their time" comes to mind. <-- umm.. before anyone says "GW 2 is what they're doing!!", think about the fact of just how many man hours were implemented into rewritting ALLLLLLL the freakin skills in GW to do this "update". -_-
i would personally like to see more bugs and glitches fixed rather than rewording some skill. but meh... that's just me...

All they did is what Magic the Gathering did. They made the skills read/appear better. That is all. No big deal. Makes it a lot easier to see exactly what you are using is actually doing for the casual player.

Do you think its the same person that does skill balances, bug fixes and skill descriptions? Well, it's not. They are unrelated, and what one team does is not going to slow down what another team is working on.
Not every update is going to have something that directly benefits you. There is no point complaining about that, and frankly, it is counter productive. Because what happens when there is an update that does benefit you that doesn't benefit another player? They make a thread just like this, except the roles are reversed. And if we only ever published an update that 100% of the community agreed was "worth our time" nothing would ever get done. There are a few differing opinions around here, in case you hadn't noticed.

Get over yourself. Just because you found nothing useful in this update does not mean that it is a useless update.
People have said that the shorter skill descriptions have been in the DAT file for a while they have just decided to implement them.
Do you really think the people who are looking into PVP updates and working on GW2 stop everything they are doing to update skill descriptions and fix some bugs?
The GW2 team will be separate to the bug fixers for GW1. So as far as time management goes it looks like the Bug fix team is using their time quite well.

Perhaps I come across too strongly critical of a company that (I admit), I do not fully understand, so I apologize for being rude.
However, this latest update was megabytes worth of data we simply did not need. Why is an additional skill description library needed? Sure, it's a cool fix, but it really was unnecessary. Sorry if I sound ungrateful, but I seriously think the time that went into this update could have been better spent. That is my opinion as a player and customer.

The time isn't really an issue. It's not like Izzy is being drawn away from his usual work by this sort of thing, because he doesn't work on it. Adding more people to the task of skill balancing is probably not a good idea.
